#BridgingtheGap Interview Series
Project TEAL's newest initiative is our "Bridging the Gap" Interview Series, which is dedicated to bridging the disconnect between youth and politics! As part of this campaign, we're hoping to interview elected officials across the country, whether on a local, state, or federal level, about their views on combating the partisan divide, how young people have historically made a difference in their specific region, how young people can become involved in politics, and advice they have for young people aspiring to a similar career path.
Our first interview is with Speaker of the PA House Rep. Bryan Cutler. Serving his eighth term in Pennsylvania General Assembly, Speaker Cutler represents the 100th Legislative District in Lancaster County. In June 2020, he was elected by his colleagues to serve as the 139th Speaker of the House, having previously served as the Majority Leader. He was re-elected Speaker on January 5, 2021.

Our second interview is with Speaker Anthony Rendon of the CA State Assembly. Speaker Rendon, a Los Angeles native, represents the 63rd District in the Southeast Los Angeles County. He became the 70th Speaker of the Assembly on March 7, 2016, ushering in a new era of a decentralized speakership and member empowerment.
